This is also another idea from a wedding of mine. We used the pipe and drape as a backdrop to clothe pin a bunch of photos from the their relationship. I love that it worked in two ways as a decor piece and displaying photos.
What a great use of lanterns for this outdoor photo display idea!

Wonderful Watercolor
Happy Saturday Lovelies! Today I have a wonderful weekend wedding trend for you. Watercolor has been making it’s way on the wedding scene and I am absolutely loving it! The soft pastels mixed with the look of the handmade brush strokes make for a seriously lovely look. I am smitten to all the of the things it is popping up on, invitations, escort cards, backdrops, decor and even cakes. It really is one of my new favorite trends of the year.

Floral Runners
Runners are great for all tables. It is simply the perfect way to instantly add a that pop of color or pattern you are looking for. A gorgeous trend I have seen lately is floral runners. Lush, full of a variety of exception blooms all intertwined to make a lovely runner. What I love about floral runners is they are multitasking. They work as a runner and they are a seriously eye catching floral centerpiece too. It’s an exquisite piece. As spring is in full bloom here, I think this is the quintessential look for the season. Not to mention a great look for summer too!

Every bride is looking for cute and creative ways to tell their guests what table they are sitting at. There are tons of ways to do this, the most popular being escort cards. Today’s idea breaks out of the box and gets creative is escort card display boards. Instead of the traditional way of having an individual card for every guests, this lovely idea instead has guests names written under what table they are sitting. This seating chart idea not only saves table space and possibly even a linen cost, it also cuts down costs on escort card costs. A Win, Win!
Here are some of my favorites!
Get an old window pane and a chalk marker and voila!
Don’t forget to put something behind the windows such as a solid cloth of board so the names are easier to see.

Another Idea is to paint wood or any creative surface you can think of with chalkboard paint and write the names or just use a chalkboard. Both have their own loveliness.

You can also display frames for your seating chart. This allows creativity with the shape and size of the frame and where you can display it.

This is a photo from one of my weddings in 2011. The bride took white photo frames and frames different patterned fabric in her colors. They she mounted them all on plywood covered in fabric. It was such a darling addition to cocktail hour. Photo Source: Anita Roach
This is a photo from my phone for a wedding I did in 2012. We framed the seating charts and displayed them on rose petals with floating candles behind. It was fabulous.
You can also write them on mirrors which also allows plenty of room for uniqueness on the mirror that you choose.

This last idea is amazing. Using a scroll on a tree. It is whimsical, creative and can be a perfect addition to an outdoor wedding or garden themed wedding.

Keep your lights low to create a more intimate feel. Accent your tables with a few taper candles and votives and the low lighting will really make your candles shine and the whole room will feel more romantic.
