There are a couple of things that are key for great wine and cheese party. Great wine, great cheese, delicious crackers and aged meats. Add in some grapes, figs and spiced nuts, and you really have a nice spread for your guests. Sequoia Grove is a perfect wine to pair with different cheeses and meats because they make their wine in a food-friendly style that emphasizes structure and balance. Plus their wine is some of the best in Napa Valley because they make their wines with varietal character that are reflective of the land. They are one of the premier Cabernet Sauvignon producers in Napa Valley too. Trust us, it’s a really good Cab.
What we love about Sequoia Grove is that they are humble. They are a “hidden gem amongst the giants” as they say because they go back to their roots and have a really artisan, small-lot approach to wine making. They were founded over 40 years ago in a 110-year old barn beneath a grove of Sequoia trees and still today, that is where you can taste their wine in their tasting room. We just love that!
We brought that earthy, natural feel of Sequoia Grove in this wine and cheese party. Bring in natural fibers like burlap and mix them with wood and stone and you can totally replicate this look for your wine and cheese night. Spruce up the table a bit with some gorgeous magnolia leaves that really brings an intimate and fresh feeling to the table. Finish it off with some really cute chalkboard details and you have the perfect wine and cheese party look!

Wine-cheese pairing possibilities are endless. Our favorite cheeses that go really well with Cabernet Sauvignon are Asiago, cheddar cheese and blue cheese. They are terrific rich, aged cheeses, that clean your palate after each bite.
To make an even savorier bite, add in a fig and olive crisp.
Our favorite cheese to pair with a nice Chardonnay like Sequoia Groves’ are goat cheese, Brie and Fontina. Rich, creamy cheeses like these blend seamlessly with buttery, oaky white wines, creating a truly harmonious palate sensation.
Add in a raisin rosemary crisps for a hint of herbs and sweet to bring to the palate as well. You could even add in some red apples to really bring a sweet crunch to your bite too.
A charcuterie board brings the perfect saltiness to complete the overall savory bites that this wine and cheese party needs. We love aged meats like prosciutto and salami because they pack a punch of flavor in every bite.
