Happy Monday Lovelies! Today we have one of our very own parties to share with you today. We threw our dear friend Matthew a Mario themed party for his 28th birthday that we called Matthew’s party! Matthew loves everything Mario and we thought it would be fun to get everyone together and play Mario games all night, including Marion Kart and Mario Party. It was seriously a gamers fantasy birthday night. The whole party was Mario themed from beginning to end. We started with a whole Italian themed dinner for everyone including lasagna, pizza, garlic bread and bread sticks. Each of these were labeled with a Mario character like Luigi’s Pizza Pie and Toad’s Toasty Garlic bread. It was really cute. We had red and green silverware and Mario Mushroom napkins too!
For drinks we served Princess Peach tipsy pink lemonade that was spiked pink lemonade and had red and green cups with Mario Mustaches for everyone to drink out of. As a super fun element, we had stick-able mustaches for guests to wear all night which was a hoot.
The best part of the part though was definitely the dessert bar!
Our favorite features are:
A Mario themed backdrop with larger than life characters
Brick and question mark dessert display boxes
Green and Red Mushroom Cupcakes
Gumba Cake Bites
Star Cookie Pops
Piranha Plant Cookie pops that come out of their very own green plumbers tubes
Ice and Fire Flower Power Gumballs
Boo adorned birthday cake ice cream shots
A question mark Pinata box that dropped Gold Reese Peanut Butter Cups

Hi! I love your backdrop. My son wants the same theme for his 7th birthday party. How did you print the characters and letters for Matthew’s banner? And where did the images come from for the characters? Thank you so much.

Hi There!
I downloaded the font for free https://www.freepremiumfonts.com/free-font/new-super-mario-font-mario-party-9.aspx and then found the characters and made them big and sized them to print on 4 sheets in photoshop.
Let me know if that makes sense.

Where did you find the big coin and brick boxes? Planning my sons 1st birthday as a 1UP theme and I can only find templates to print for the tiny coin boxes. Also, where did you find the napkins and tablecloth?
Emily Miller says
Hi Brandy!
The large coin boxes were made. You can just get a square cardboard box and them print the coin out and glue it to all four corners of the box. Same for the bricks!
Here is the link for the tablecloth – http://amzn.to/2uFovWC
Napkins you can get here – http://amzn.to/2vDbktV
Let me know if I can help with anything else!
